Kingston DataTraveler 5000 – The World’s Safest USB Drive

Kingston-DataTraveler-5000

Most people probably don’t carry top secret files on USB sticks, but what about those poor spies and secret agents who need ultra protection for their data? Kingston DataTraveler 5000 to the rescue!

That’s right, the new DataTraveler 5000 USB flash drive is “certified for government-approved secure data protection.” and that’s saying something. The portable device is IPS 140-2 Level 2 certified with Level 3 pending, has 256-bit AES hardware-based encryption, uses XTS cipher mode and elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) algorithms to ensure your files don’t fall into the wrong hands. Kingston’s ultra-save flash drive will also come with an on-board Malware scanning application.

The DataTraveler 5000 comes in 3 different storage variants: 2 GB ($111). 4 GB ($185) and 8 GB ($400). And if you thought the government spy remark at the beginning was a joke, you should know “”For its U.S. government customers, Kingston offers a variety of Trade Agreement Act-compliant (TAA) products and has a dedicated federal sales team in place.”
