Orange UK Will Start Shipping Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 In April

Orange, the last UK mobile carrier, has announced the upcoming availability of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, which will also be available through O2 , Vodafone, T-Mobile and Virgin.

Orange will offer the Xperia X10 in two colors, sensous black and, exclusively for Orange, luster white. The phone features a 4″ TFT capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and 65K colors, which is also scratch-resistant. It has 1GB internal memory and comes with an 8GB memory card, but it also has a microSD card slot for up to 16GB.

The 8MP camera features touch focus, image stabilization, geo-tagging, face and smile recognition and it is capable of shooting videos at up to 30fps. The phone is using a Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon 1 GHz processor and it is running under Android OS 1.6.

Orange will start shipping the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 in April for free on selected price plans.
