USB-flash-drive-lockWith USB flash drives like Kingston Data Traveler 5000, this kind of USB lock seems pointless, but it does look badass.

All you have to do is push in the USB stick, set the combination, and spin the tumblers. For the untrained eye, the USB flash drive seems safe, especially since trying to pull the stick out of the lock will damage it. But, in reality, this tumbler USB lock doesn’t anybody from accessing the data directly from the chip, inside the flash drive, provide it you know how to do it.

But, the old fashioned lock does look unbreakable to most people, just don’t try to use it to secure documents regarding national security or such things.
