
Samsung has entered the Indian market with a new affordable touchscreen phone, the Samsung Monte S5620, which was officially announced back in February.
The Samsung Monte comes with a 3″ WQVGA display with 240 x 400 pixels resolution, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity, 3.15MP camera with Geo-tagging and smile recognition, 200MB internal memory and microSD card slot for up to 16GB memory card and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Also, the Samsung Monte features Google Maps 3.0, social networking integration with live updates and a Li-Ion battery which will keep it alive for up to 10 hours of 2G calls and up to 5 hours of 3G calls.
The Samsung Monte S5620 is currently available in India and retails for 8,850 INR or $198 .
