Sanyo To Launch World’s First Full HD Camcorder in June

Sanyo camcorder

The world’s first waterproof full HD camcorder has been created by Sanyo and it’s part of Sanyo’s small line of Xacti camcorders.

Called the DMX-CA100, the camcorder features a 14 megapixel lens with 6 times of optical zoom augmented by a 6x “Advanced Zoom” which won’t blow the pixels like a regular zoom, but crops the image sensor. The camcorder is capable of recording full 1080p video for about an hour at a depth of 3 meters. The IPX8 water resistant device also features another shooting mode which will allow its user to shoot at 7Fps for up to 22 shots.

The Sanyo DMX-CA100 waterproof camcorder will be available for purchase starting with June and comes in black, pink, and yellow but, for the moment, there are no details about pricing.

If you think you have what it takes to shot the next Avatar, but lack the necessary camera, DXG’s new 3D camcorder leaves you with excuses.

At only $400, the new DXG 3D camcorder is chap enough for the poorest would-be-movie-director out there. It shoots in 3D, yes, but for this low a price, you can’t expect something like 3D HD. Still the standard VGA is decent enough. The DXG 3D camcorder even comes with a 7″ digital photo viewer that allows you to view your 3D footage, right after you shoot it. The videos save in motion JPEG format.

Phantom Flex Camcorder Shoots At Up To 6,300 FPS

Vision Research Phantom Flex

Vision Research’s latest camcorder, the Phantom Flex, is a hell of a toy. The device features a 4K, 2560×1600 CMOS sensor with 12bit color depth and it can capture up to 2,800fps at a HD resolution of 1080p.

Also, at maximum resolution, the camcorder is capable of shooting at 1,560 frames per second, which is still impressive. If you switch to HQ mode, the image quality will be much better but the Fps will drop to 780 and 1390 respectively. Decrease the resolution to 640×480 pixels and you’ll be able to record at 6,300 frames per second, which is also very impressive.
