With all these new tablets coming out like mushrooms after rain, it’s hard to bring something new to the game. But the new Boogie Board manages just that.

The Boogie Board LCD Writing Tablet sets itself apart from the rest of the tablet pack through its capability of replacing the good old pen and paper. That’s right, with this eco-friendly gadget, you can say goodbye to carrying notepads and notebooks with you everywhere you go. With the included stylus ( or any other surface, including your fingers) you can write and draw whatever you like on the Boogie Board, and save it or delete it with the simple press of a button.

Unfortunately, the Boogie Board doesn’t do color yet, but black and white is good enough.

The “plastic version of the Apple iPad” isn’t helping Nvidia’s tablet prototype very much, but its technical specifications make you forget all about design.

Nvidia’s Android-based tablet PC isn’t ugly, but the plastic case does feel abit cheap, compared to other tablets, already on the market. But the guys at Gizmodo, wo got the chance to test it, didn’t let themselves get distracted by design, and were amazed to find this gadget shines a lot broighter on the inside. At the heart of this technological jewel, they discovered Nvidia’s Tegra 2, powered by a core ARM Cortex A9, a chip that’s a generation ahead of the iPad’s A4, 1 Gb of RAM, and two USB ports.

Unfortunately, Nvidia’s 8.9-inch tablet only ran one app, at the time the testing was done, a pretty nice-looking video game (this is Nvidia we’re talking about) that could be controlled beautifully, thanks to the tablet’s capacitive multitouch touchscreen.

I know you can’t wait to get your hands on it, but there’s still no word on when we can expect Nvidia’s Android-powered tablet. All everyone knows is it will come out, eventually.

I know it doesn’t look like your beloved iPad, but unlike Apple’s tablet PC, the Ruggedized Military tablet can take a serious beating.

Long before tablet PCs became technological fashion accessories, AIS (American Industrial Systems) was making rugged tablets that could function in the harshest environments. Shocks, high temperatures, dust, water, you name it, the solid chassis of AIS tablet PCs can handle it.

The Ruggedized Military tablet PC features an aluminum-magnesium alloy body, sealed ports that are both waterproof and dustproof, 10.4″ touchscreen, integrated PCMCIA slot, built in Lithium-Ion battery and a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU. Connectivity options include WI-FI, Bluetooth, GPS ans support for WWAn cards.

The price hasn’t been announced yet, but judging by the hardcore specifications, the Ruggidized Military tablet PC isn’t going to be cheap.

With the large number of iPad clones launched, or on their way, Chinese manufacturer, Shenzen, decided to come up with something that would make its tablet PC stand out.

This particular prototype looks a lot like the iPad, but hides something completely unexpected, a sliding keyboard, similar to that of the Nokia N97. Shenzen’s little gimmick is virtually an iPad laptop, similar to what you’d get using the iPadDock.

Little else is known about this upcoming Shenzen tablet PC, other than that it will feature a 10 inch display, and will be powered by an Atom N450 processor. No word about the launch date, either, but knowing the Chinese, this baby will hit the shelves in record time.

The Iron Man iPad Decal is a cool item for you iPad which illustrates the main actor from the Iron Man movie in full color.

Can’t afford to get even the cheapest iPad model, at $499? No worries, all you need is your trusty old iPhone, and the iDock XL.

Many have argued that the iPad is just a blown-up version of the iPhone, so someone finally came up with an idea to change the multimedia phone into the desired tablet PC. That’s how the iDock XL was “born.”

Sure, it doesn’t look the part, and if your iPhone isn’t jailbroken, you’ll only be able to see video files, due to the restrictions put in place, by Apple. But if your iPhone is jailbroken, you practically have a slightly oversized version of the Apple iPad.

The iDock XL costs only $230, considerably cheaper than the iPad, but the fact that the display isn’t touchscreen (you have to use the iPad’s touchscreen),and the awkward look make the Apple iPad a much better choice.

Check the iDock in action, after the break.

Meizu, a Chinese tech company that apparently specializes in Apple product cloning, has announced it’s preparing its very own iPad-like tablet PC.

Jack Wong, CEO of Meizu, has announced the Chinese company is preparing to launch the mBook, a tablet PC built on the concept of the Apple iPad. Meizu’s clone will feature a slightly smaller, 8.4-inch touchscreen display, HDMI, capability to play 1080p videos and an impressive 12 hour battery life.

The Meizu mBook will be fitted with a 1.5 Ghz processor, GPS, high quality music player capabilities, and will have pretty much all the features of the Apple iPad. Meizu has some experience when it comes to Apple clones, having previously released the m8 iPhone clone.

Pricing and release date of Meizu’s mBook are yet to be announced.

The iPad was designed to become the mother of all tablet PCs, but I bet not even Steve Jobs himself imagined it could make the laptop absolete.

But not by its own, mind you, but with the help of a device called the iPadDock. This innovative accessory is designed to turn your iPad into a touchscreen laptop. All you need is an Apple iPad, of course, and a Bluetooth keyboard. You can use iPadDock at school, as a business tool or simly as a hard-case to protect your iPad.

There are those that might say such a device is absolutely pointless, with the iPad beeing so responsive and all, but just like with touchsreen mobile phones, you sometimes feel the need for a hard keyboard. The iPadDock oficial site says pricing and availability will be announced shortly.
