Become a Virtual Flyer with Wings for Wii

The Nintendo Wii has had its share of wacky accessories but the soon to be launched wings for Wii are plain crazy.

I have to say I’m not the biggest fan of Nintendo’s wonder console and this latest gadget doesn’t improve things at all. Apparently, the new Wii Fit Plus update includes a new game, called Bird’s-Eye Bull’s-Eye, where you have to flap your arms as fast as possible, while keeping your balance on the balance board, in order to guide a chicken to a series of targets, to collect points.

Now that’s embarrassing enough, unless you’re a toddler, but the guys at CDA Digital thought they’d make things better if they launched a pair of strap-on nylon wings to “add a sensation that you will not be mimicking a flying chicken with your hands alone.” Oh yeah, great thinking guys.

Clingo Neklit Turns Your iPod Nano into a Necklace

To many people, the Apple iPod Nano already is more of a fashion accessory than a techno gadget, so the people at Clingo decided to let them wear it as a necklace, by inventing the Neklit.

The Clingo Neklit is designed to turn your old Nano into a necklace, so you can listen to music and be trendy, at the same time. The Neklit features a sticky pad that holds the iPod in place, without retaining residue or losing its properties in time. It features adjustable lanyard and you can wear it with anything you have lying around.

Mi-Stylus – A Cheap Effective Stylus for Apple Products

If you’re an iPhone user, there has to have been at least one occassion when you wished you had a stylus. Sure the icons are big enough for your fingers, but sometimes you just need some finesse.

As you probably already know, Apple gadgets don’t work with a regular stylus, but luckily, there are some to choose from. Like the newly launched Mi-Stylus, featuring a special composite nib that gets along beautifully with Apple’s touchscreens. It has a large, flat area used to click on larger icons, and a slim edge, specially designed for precision clicking. Mi-Stylus’s design could come in handy when you need to quickly type an email on your iPhone or iPod touch, as we all know how tiny those keys are.

And at just 4.99 pounds, Mi-Stylus is just to cheap to be ignored.

ClamCase Turns iPad into a Laptop

No matter how much you love your iPad right now, there will come a day when you wished you had a laptop, instead of a tablet. That’s when you’ll be thankful there is such a thing as ClamCase.

Apparently, there is quite a demand for gadgets, such as ClamCase, that turn your new iPad into a laptop. So far we’ve seen a similar gadget, the iPadDock, but ClamCase takes things a little further. Combining three accessories  (iPad, Bluetooth keyboard and a stand) ClamCase features a wraparound hinge that joins the screen to the keyboard and can be flipped 360 degrees.

Art Lebedev Battery Cup Tells You How Hot Your Coffee Is

Art Lebedev takes something as simple as a coffee mug and turns it into something awesome that will keep you idle, at the office.

The Art Lebedev Battery Mug features a battery patern, on the side, that shows you how hot its content is, and how much you have left. As you pour in the coffee, the green battery lights up, and stays this way as long as the temperature doesn’t drop below 36 degrees Celsius. As the liquid gets cooler, the battery indicator fades to black.

Art Lebedev’s Battery Mug can be yours for only $28. That’s pocket change for something this cool.

Devon Works Tread 1 Bulletproof Wristwatch

Most haute couture wristwatches try to maintain that classic look that usually appeals to filthy rich horology enthusiasts, but Devon Works is trying to break the pattern with its Tread 1.

This technological wonder shows time with the help of four 2/1000th thin belts, moving on a central chassis. This makes it look like the watch parts are actually floating inside the case. The Tread 1 is powered by four state of the art compact microstep motors that charge wirelessly. That’s right, for this space-age time-piece, Devon Works has integrated wireless technology that will keep it running for two weeks, on a single charge.

Made from high grade stainless steel, Tread 1 is actually bulletproof, so you can use it to block a bullet, if you’re quick enough. But this (possibly)life-saving gadget will have you you fork out $15,000, when it comes out. Check out the Devon Works Tread 1, in action, after the jump.

iPadDock Turns Your iPad into a Laptop

The iPad was designed to become the mother of all tablet PCs, but I bet not even Steve Jobs himself imagined it could make the laptop absolete.

But not by its own, mind you, but with the help of a device called the iPadDock. This innovative accessory is designed to turn your iPad into a touchscreen laptop. All you need is an Apple iPad, of course, and a Bluetooth keyboard. You can use iPadDock at school, as a business tool or simly as a hard-case to protect your iPad.

There are those that might say such a device is absolutely pointless, with the iPad beeing so responsive and all, but just like with touchsreen mobile phones, you sometimes feel the need for a hard keyboard. The iPadDock oficial site says pricing and availability will be announced shortly.

See the iPadDock in action, after the break. (more…)

Gluvi Is Like a Condom for Your Remote

Admit it, you love mashing those remote control buttons, while you’re munching on potato chips, or some other greasy snack. Thanks to Gluvi, you won’t have to worry about getting your remote dirty.

I remember when I was a kid, my parents would wrap our remote in multiple layers of cellophane, to protect the poor thing from my destructive hands. Nowadays the solution to this problem is similar, but a lot better looking. Gluvi acts like a condom for your remote, just slip it over the device and it’s instantly protected from grease, dust, crumbs between the buttons, and even germs.

Casio Releases G-Shock GW-3000 Pilot Wristwatch

Today must be Casio day. After announcing they invented the first mercury-free high-brightness projector, we find out they just released the coolest wristwatch I’ve seen in a while.

Sadly, the Casio G-Shock GW-3000 “Pilot” wristwatch is only available in Japan. Isn’t that a total bitch? A beautifully-designed watch, available in white, orange and blue, and one nation can enjoy it? Anyway, Casio’s Pilot has got more than just “looks”. This Tough Solar model is waterproof, resistant to high impact and able to handle up to 15 G.

The G-Shock GW-3000 “Pilot” sets itself via radio and can display 29 world time cities. It’s available in Nippon, for $200.Check out more photos of this gorgeous wristwatch after the jump.

TokyoFlash Presents the Kisai Escape C

The guys at TokyoFlash are back with one of the coolest-looking gadgets I’ve seen in a while, the Kisai Escape C.

It might look like an alien pendant you’d most likely see around the neck of a sci-fi flick action hero, but the TokyoFlash Kisai Escape C is so much more than that. Well, maybe I’m exaggerating, after all, it’s just a wireless bluetooth device that lets stream your favorite tracks from a Bluetooth-supporting mp3 player, or answer the phone, as long as they’re in a 33-meter radius.

Perfectly compatible with your iPhone and iPod Touch, the Kisai Escape C also works with PC programs like Skype. It’s not as cool as an alien pendant, but its radical design more than makes up for that.

Like all TokyoFlash gadgets, the Kisai Escape C had to have a weird way of telling time. The blue LEDs on the front of the device are supposed to show the time, but who can read that?

More photos of the TokyoFlash Kisai Escape C after the jump.

Scosche kickBACK Case for the iPad

Apple has just launched its “revolutionary” iPad tablet and producers are already launching accessories for it.

One of these quick-to-cash-in-on-the-iPad companies is Scosche, who just launched its kickBACK case for Apple’s tablet PC. Made from polycarbonate and rubber hybrid, the kickBACK provides protection for the iPad, and the metal stand makes it a must-have for watching videos in landscape and portrait views.
