Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 to Receive Updates Soon After Launch

SE Xperia X10

Sony Ericsson has announced that the Xperia X10 will receive a newer version of Android after its launch. It will go on sale running under Android 1.6 and we will probably get the 2.1 version later.

Some guys from Sony Ericsson claim that the software update for the Xperia X10 will upgrade the complete Sony Ericsson User Experience Platform.

For the moment we don’t know the exact date when SE Xperia X10 will receive updates or which version of Android will be used.

Gigabyte’s Upcoming Android-Powered Smartphone

Gigabyte Android SmartPhone

Some weeks ago, Gigabyte announced that they will come on the market with Android-powered smartphones. Now, the company says  they’re working at an Android smartphone which will debut next month. It doesn’t have a name for the moment but we know for sure that it’s part of GSmart Series.

The phone will be running under Android 1.6, featuring a trackball , 2.8-inch QVGA display, 2MP camera , Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS application, slot for microSD card,  a Qualcomm ESM7225 528 MHz CPU supported by 256MB RAM and 512MB ROM.

Gigabyte’s Android-powered phone will go on sale next month for $300, which I think it is not so expensive for an Android smartphone.
