Handheld Cellphone Jammer Is Diabolical

handheld-cellphone-jammerIf you’re a secret agent, or just a big tech geek, this cellphone jammer doesn’t seem very impressive, but for the rest of us, it’s a pretty big deal.

Using this easy to conceal jammer, you can cause panic everywhere you go, and just sit by and watch everyone around you scramble in despair. It looks like an oversized pack of cigarettes, with a few cigarettes sticking out, but it won’t hurt your lungs, just mobile phone frequencies.

The 3W High Power Cellphone Jammer affects all major cellphone frequencies, including GSM 900/1800, 3G, CDMA GSM, DCS and PHS, but it only has a range of about 20 meters. Powered by a 1,600 mAH battery, and can even block the L1 frequency from GPS satellites.

Chinese Make Bugatti Veyron Shaped Cellphone

Let’s face it, it was only a matter of time before the Chinese created a Bugatti Veyron shaped phone, just like they did with other famous cars like Audi or BMW.

The Bugatti Veyron phone isn’t a smartphone, but it does pack enough features to raise the interest of unusual design mobile enthusiasts. It has a 2.4 inch touchscreen, a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity, FM radio, MP3 player, and like most Chinese phones, dual-SIM capabilities. And then there’s the attractive price tag, just $185.

But, as you probably already know, buying a Chinese cellphone is a lot like playing the lottery, you’re never sure if it will work, or for how long.

Puma Launches Solar-Powered Puma Phone

Puma is better known as a sportswear maker, but this time it’s teamed up with Sagem to produce a solar-powered smartphone known only as the Puma Phone.

This is pretty unexpected news, considering there haven’t been any announcements leading up to this moment. At first glance, the Puma Phone has a pretty interesting design, with a large touchscreen and a solar panel on the backside, that allows you to recharge the device when you don’t have where to plug it in.

Conceived by Sagem, the surprising handheld features a 2.8 inch QVGA TFT capacitive panel, a 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash and 6x digital zoom, GPS and A-GPS, a secondary VGA front camera and a compass.

Sharp to Launch Its Solar-Powered Cell-Phone in China

As the Japanese mobile market continues to shrink, Sharp, the largest cell-phone manufacturer in the Land of the Rising Sun, decided it’s time to expand beyond national borders.

During the last fiscal year, Sharp sold only 1.6 million mobile phones outside Japan. That’s only 20% of its production, and management ruled it’s time to take their business global. Their first major move is to market their Solar Hybrid SH6230C mobile phone in China. The first Sharp solar-powered phone to be marketed outside Nippon comes with a solar cell module, 2.9 inch LCD display and a 5 megapixel camera.
