That’s right gaming fans, a Microsoft representative has announced the ultimate gaming experience will arrive in October 2010.

During a television broadcast, Syed Bilal Tariq, Microsoft’s marketing manager in Saudi Arabia, has confirmed Project Natal will be launched sometime in October. this was said before, by UK television presenter, Jonathan Ross, but I’m sure we can all agree Mr. Tariq is a much more reliable source.

I know you’d be even happier if this was an official press release, but for now, this will have to do. With all the anticipation for Project Natal, I feel like October is years for now. But as long as it doesn’t disappoint, when it launches, what’s a few more months?

Chinese company, JXD, has just announced it will soon be launching a new handheld MP4 console, known as the JXD200 MINICOCO.

Featuring a simplistic, yet slick design that hints to the Nintendo DS, JXD’s new console borrows the right side buttons, from Sony’s PSP. In the center you’ll notice a 2.8-inch QVGA display that supports 1280×720 high-definition video streaming. The JXD MINICOCO is an extremely versatile machine that supports formats like GBA, GBC, GB, NES, SMD, SMC, Bin and Flash (SWF), as well as MP4 videos, RMVB, RM, AVI, VOB, DAT, MPG, FLV, MP4, 3GP, ASF and WMV. That’s a pretty impressive looking list, you have to agree.

You’ll also be able to stream through photos and read text files, and the best thing about the new JXD200 MINICOCO gaming console is the $30 price tag.
Charging your controllers is a simple enough task, but if you had the chance, wouldn’t you want to do it in style? With the Power Pyramid Supreme, from Konnet, now you can.

If you only have one console, either a PlayStation3 or an Xbox 360, storing and charging controllers isn’t too much of a hassle, but if you’re lucky enough to own both, you need something like the Konnet Power Pyramid Supreme. This awesome gadget acts as a charger and holder for your controllers, when you’re not busy mashing their buttons.

Even without the charging function, the Power Pyramid Supreme is so worth the $55 price tag, if only for its awesome design. It fits two PS3 controllers and two Xbox 360 controllers, all at once. You can also get a simple Power Pyramid (no Supreme) for either the PlayStation3 or Xbox 360, for just $50.

SAN FRANCISCO – March 16, 2010 – ASTRO Gaming, creator of premium video gaming equipment for professional gamers, has launched the ASTRO A30 Cross-Gaming Headset, a professional-grade cross-gaming platform audio solution for gamers on-the-go. The ASTRO A30 Cross-Gaming Headset features a lightweight street-smart design and delivers tournament-level audio quality and crystal-clear voice communication across all types of digital entertainment devices including gaming consoles, PCs and mobile devices. All ASTRO Gaming products are available directly through the company website at: www.astrogaming.com.

“We’ve taken the DNA from ASTRO’s tournament-proven A40 pro gaming headset and injected our superior audio and voice communication technologies into a smaller, more lifestyle driven headset for gamers on-the-go,” said Brett Lovelady, Founder of ASTRO Gaming. “With the A30’s, you can play and chat at home through consoles and PCs, and then take it on the road, using A30s to listen to music and take phone calls on a smart phone, or play the latest portable video game systems with game quality sound. With so much flexibility, the A30 is simply the best cross-gaming, mobile savvy headset on the market.”

The ASTRO A30 Cross-Gaming Headset is the first audio equipment designed specifically to move freely between mobile, console and PC gaming platforms, as well as across all forms of digital entertainment. True to its cross-gaming claim, the highly portable, on-ear A30 headset comes with three audio cables for easy connection to a variety of mobile devices, gaming consoles and PCs. The A30 is also fully compatible with ASTRO’s award-winning Dolby®-powered ASTRO MixAmp™, the audio engine that seamlessly blends voice and game sounds.

“The A30’s closed-ear design and street savvy styling lets gamers play out in public and still look great while doing it,” said Aron Drayer, Director of Marketing, ASTRO Gaming. “As with the ASTRO A40s, the ASTRO A30 Cross-Gaming Headset will allow users to fully customize the speaker tags with their own artwork or with our pre-loaded imagery. Clans and guilds can create tags for team members with group logos while other artistically inclined users can upload their own designs to make a unique personalized statement.”

Features include:

Every time a new gaming device is announced, I get a tingly feeling that goes all the way from the top of my head to the tip of my toes. I just wish I knew more about the Mobilic E7.

Mobilic probably sounds pretty unfamiliar, and that’s only normal, since this is relatively new company, founded in February 2009. The Mobilic E7 gaming MID is their first product, and it does make quite a first impression. Although not much is known about it yet, its introduction at MWC 2010 caused quite a stir in the gadget world.

The 4 inch WVGA display of the E7 hides a QWERTY keyboard and an interesting set of NES-inspired controls that look pretty comfortable to handle. Mobilic’s gaming MID is powered by a 600 Mhz CPU, and features 256 RAM as well as 8 Gb of Flash memory.

The Mobilic E7 offers WIFI connectivity, b/g, IEEE 802.16e WiMAX and should make a pretty interesting gadget. When it’s launched, that is, because there’s still no info on pricing and availability.

If the Origin name doesn’t ring any bells, you should know it’s a company founded six years ago by six former Alienware executives.
Their newest creation, the Eon 18 gaming laptop features a full HD resolution 18.4 widescreen display, dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M GPUs and an Intel Core i7 processor.
