Google Chrome OS Netbooks : Reasonable Prices and Free Sotware

Google CEO Eric Schmidt has officially revealed new details on the upcoming netbooks that will run Google’s Chrome OS. In his speech, Eric Schmidt said that the Google Chrome OS Netbooks will have prices between $300 and $400, depending on the configuration you choose.

Also, Google claims that every penny you pay for this netbook is entirely for its components because Google Chrome OS carries no software cost. Eric Schmidt also explained why is Google getting into the netbook OS industry and he said that it’s not just about searching. Their operating system manages information and sharing in a particular way that other traditional OS aren’t capable of.

Google to Offer FREE Smartphones to Developers ?

Even if there is no celebration or holiday, Google is offering free Google Nexus One or Motorola Droid to developers. How come?

The deal is not so simple and free. The developers will receive the smartphones with only one condition : they need to create an application that reaches 3.5 star rating and downloaded at least 5,000 times. Rumors are saying that Google has already sent emails to developers in the US, Canada, Europe, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Google Chrome OS Netbook

Google has announced in November the Google Chrome OS for netbooks. Now, some guys from TechCrunch say that Google is working at their own netbook, but no hardware specification were made. Even so, probably NVIDIA Tegra 2 will be found inside it, due to the fact that 2010 will bring many Tegra 2-based netbooks and not only.The Google-branded Chrome OS netbook is expected to go on sale late next year.
