Sensory Wristwatch Proves Medical Bracelets can Be Cool

I’m sure the iPhone will soon have an app that monitors your bodily functions, but until then, we’re stuck with medical bracelets. Luckily, some of them actually look good.

Developed by the researches at Fraunhofer Institute, the Sensory Wristwatch warns its wearer of health issues like dehydration, high blood sugar, or abnormally high body temperature. The device can be totally customized, depending on the patient’s issues.

The Sensory Wristwatch is still in the development stage, but you’ll soon spot it on the wrists of hospital patients and training athletes. It also sports a futuristic design that makes it look like a gadget from Star Trek.

Deafinite Style is a conceptual hearing-aid that will most likely be mistaken for an ear piercing, rather than a hearing apparatus. Most people probably won’t like that it requires them to actually pierce their ear lobe and keep it stretched while wearing Deafinite Style, but on the bright side, deaf piercing enthusiasts finally have the fancy hearing-aid they’ve always dreamed of.
