
HTC will return on the market with a low-cost touchscreen handset, the HTC Smart. The device is based on Qualcomm’s Brew mobile platform and uses HTC’s own Sense user interface.
The device is powered by a 300MHz Qualcomm processor and features 256MB of memory, a 2.8-inch touchscreen with 240 x 320 resolution, 3MP camera and a microSD card slot. It also has Bluetooth 2.0, Flash 3.1 Lite for applications but there is no Wi-Fi connectivity available.
The HTC Smart will go on sale in the UK in April but there are no details about the pricing yet.
