ASUS Eee 1005PR Available for Purchase


Although the Amazon network says it’s still just available for pre-order, the guys at ASUS are sating their new Eee 1005PR netbook is already available at selected retailers.

Featuring a 10.1-inch display, with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, and backlit by LEDs, the ASUS Eee 1005PR is powered by a 1.66 Ghz Intel Atom N450. Intel UMA graphics and Broadcom Crystal HD accelerator work together to support graphics, while connectivity is handled by Bluetooth and 802.11b/g/n wireless technology.

The ASUS Eee 1005PR netbook has 1 Ghz of DDR2 RAM, and a 250 Gb hard drive, spinning at 5400 rpm. ASUS is kind enough to offer an extra 500 Gb of online storage, if you need it. The netbook runs the Windos 7 Starter OS.

Asus has announced last month its upcoming netbook, the Eee PC 1005PR, which is now available for pre-order.

The netbook has a 10.1 inch WXGA LED backlit display with 1366 x 768 resolution and is capable of playing HD content. Under the hood, you will find an Intel Atom N450 Pineview processor backed up by 1GB of DDR2 RAM which can be upgraded to 2GB, and a 250GB HDD.

Other features include 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, a 0.3MP webcam, USB 2.0 and other. The six cell battery can keep the netbook alive for about 11 hours.

The Asus Eee PC T101MT is now shipping from Amazon and other retailers after about 14 months since Asus announced it. The convertible netbook-slash-tablet retails at Amazon for $499 and it comes with free shipping.

The Eee PC T101MT has a 10.1″ touchscreen display with 1024 x 600 resolution which can be rotated at 180 degrees and you can also fold it down over the keyboard, transforming it into a tablet. With a price similar to the Apple’s iPad, the netbook has a 1.66Ghz Intel Atom N450 processor, up to 3GB of RAM, 160GB HDD, 0.3MP camera, Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi connectivity, all of these running under Windows 7.

PeeWee has launched a laptop which can be the perfect Easter gift for your kids. The PeeWee Power Laptop is not exactly a laptop, its specs are telling us that it can be classified as a netbook.

It features a 10.1-inch LCD with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, an Intel Atom N450 CPU, Intel GMA3150 graphics and 160GB HDD.

Other features include WiFi connectivity, a 1.3MP camera, Ethernet, all of these running under Windows XP. The PeeWee Power laptop retails for $499.99.

Acer has unveiled another ultra portable notebook, the Aspire One 752, that has almost the same features as the Aspire Timeline 1410.

The Aspire One 752 has a 11.6″ LCD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768p and sports a 1.3GHz Intel Celeron ULV743 processor, 4GB of RAM, 320 GB HDD and Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics. Other features include 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, Gigabit Lan, HDMI port and it has a battery life of 5  hours.


LG T280 – Ultralight and Low Energy Consumption Netbook

LG unveiled their latest product, the LG T280 which is an ultra lightweight netbook. It comes with a 11.6-inch screen with a max resolution of 1366 x 768p and it features an Intel low energy consumption CULV processor, either Intel Pentium SU4100 dual core CPU at 1.3Ghz or SU7300 at 1.3Ghz, 2GB of RAM, 500GB HDD and integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics.

Acer has announced the Aspire One 532G netbook claimed as the world’s first netbook to use NVIDIA’s next-generation ION graphics acceleration.

The netbook features a 10.1-inch HD LCD display, Intel Atom N450 platform and next-generation NVIDIA® ION GPU which will offer you high-definition video playback up to 1080p via HDMI-output to HDTV, 3D computing and high-end gaming performance.

The Aspire One 532G has very small dimensions, measuring only 1-inch thin and 1Kg in weight and it will be available in three colors : Sapphire Blue, Ruby Red and Pearl Silver. The battery should last for up to 10 hours and the charging process is 3 times faster than usual.

The Acer Aspire One 532G netbook will go on sale at the end of Q1 2010.

HP Unveils Overpriced Mini 5102 Netbook

The brand new Mini 5102 from HP has been unveiled, but with some “minor” changes about the pricing, being sold for $749 instead of $399( when it was announced) . It sports a 1.66GHz Atom N450 CPU, 2GB RAM, 160GB 7200RPM HDD, 10.1-inch display with 1024 x 600 resolution, 2MP webcam, Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth 2.1 .

One of the reasons for the high price of this model is that Windows XP Professional is available through Windows 7 downgrade rights, but it is still hope for a cheaper version, as HP promised some time ago.

Asus G73jh Gaming Netbook – Unveiled at This Year CES

The Asus ROG G73jh Gaming Netbook has been presented at this year CES. The machine features the latest Intel Core i7 processor, the graphics are provided by an ATI Radeon HD5870 mobile graphic card which offers support for DirectX 11 and it can be upgraded with up to 8GB of RAM. The netbook also has a HD 17.3 inch display with a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080, 1TB of storage memory, EAX 4.0 and CMSS 3D surround sound.

The Asus ROG G73jh Gaming Netbook is great for you if you’re looking for high end gaming but the details on pricing are not available yet.

The MH380 mini-netbook from Fujitsu has a stylish design with chrome-ring shell and includes a scroll-wheel next to its track pad. The netbook is powerd by a Pine Trail Atom processor, it has a 10.1-inch LED screen with a max resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, 250GB storage capacity on SATA HDD, 2GB of RAM memory and a 1.3MP camera. It also offers support for SD SDHC cards and it weigh 1.3 kg .

Google Chrome OS Netbook

Google has announced in November the Google Chrome OS for netbooks. Now, some guys from TechCrunch say that Google is working at their own netbook, but no hardware specification were made. Even so, probably NVIDIA Tegra 2 will be found inside it, due to the fact that 2010 will bring many Tegra 2-based netbooks and not only.The Google-branded Chrome OS netbook is expected to go on sale late next year.

Lenovo Ideapad S10-2 Special Editon Netbook

Special Edition Netbook released by Lenovo, the Lenovo Ideapad S10-2. It features Intel Atom N280 (1.66 GHz) processor, 10.2-inch LED LCD screen, 160GB of HDD and 1GB of RAM which can be extended to 2GB. It also has small dimensions, measuring only 1.8-cm in thickness and it weighs 1.1 kg. A cool feature that I found about this netbook is the facial-recognition, which scans your face instead of placing a password.
