Samsung Wave Now Available in Europe

Samsung has announced that the first handset to run their new Bada OS has become available today in Europe. Presented at Mobile World Congress 2010, the new Samsung Wave is now available in the UK, France, Germany and other countries.

The smartphone features 3.3 inches super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and 16M colors. It comes with 2GB or 8GB of internal memory and it also has a microSD card slot for up to a 32GB memory card.

The camera is great and features a 5MP lens with 2592 x 1944p resolution, autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, face, smile and blink detection. In video mode it can record at 30Fps with continuous autofocus. The phone also has a secondary camera for video calls.


Samsung Seek M350 Available For $29.99 On Selected Price-Plan

The Samsung Seek M350 has now gone official on Sprint and comes in an eco-friendly package that will allow its users to reuse the packaging to ship old wireless phones and other phone accessories for free.

The phone has a 2.6-inch QVGA intuitive touchscreen display and a full QWERTY slide-out keyboard. It features a 1.3 megapixel camera, microSD card slot for up to a 32GB memory card, threaded messaging, social networking support for Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, 3G, 128MB of RAM, Bluetooth and a 3.5mm headset.

Samsung has officially announced that they will launch a special edition of their Monte handset dedicated for the upcoming Iron Man 2.

The device is a mid-range touchscreen handset and it will be available exclusively on O2 in UK. The phone comes with an SD card loaded with the original Iron Man 2 movie that you can watch on its 3″ capacitive touchscreen display. The handset also features a 3.2 megapixel camera, FM radio,  WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth, GPS and runs under Samsung ‘s own TouchWiz OS.

Samsung’s 3D LED 9000 Series Arrives Next Month


Many of us have been crossing our fingers that Samsung launch its new line of 3D LED TVs, as soon as possible, and they’re finally here.

That’s right folks, the new Samsung 3D LED 9000 is scheduled to his the stores sometime next month. This electronic masterpiece was announced a while back, and the specs were indeed impressive. The 9000 Series LED TV comes with a built-in 3D processor, WI-FI, 240 Hz refresh rate, USB 2.0, DLNA, Samsung applications, and a whole lot of other features.

The most impressive thing about Samsung 9000 series 3D LED TV, without having seen it in action, is its slim design, but that’s not nearly enough to justify the $8,970 price tag. I tell you, this thing better sweep me up my feet, if I’m going to dig that far down my pockets.

Samsung And Sprint Mobile Network Developing Eco-Friendly Mobile Phone

Preparing for the celebration of the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, Samsung and the mobile network Sprint have agreed on developing a new green mobile phone, the Samsung Restore.

The phone’s body is made from post consumer recycled plastic and it can be recycled again at a rate of 84%. The Samsung Restore comes with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, an optical joystick, 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, microSD card slot and other.


Samsung Monte S5620 Now Available In India

Samsung has entered the Indian market with a new affordable touchscreen phone, the Samsung Monte S5620, which was officially announced back in February.

The Samsung Monte comes with a 3″ WQVGA display with 240 x 400 pixels resolution, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity, 3.15MP camera with Geo-tagging and smile recognition, 200MB internal memory and microSD card slot for up to 16GB memory card and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Also, the Samsung Monte features Google Maps 3.0, social networking integration with live updates and a Li-Ion battery which will keep it alive for up to 10 hours of 2G calls and up to 5 hours of 3G calls.

The Samsung Monte S5620 is currently available in India and retails for 8,850 INR or $198 .

Samsung Finally Launches The BD-C6900 3D Blue Ray

The Samsung BD-C6900 3D Blue-ray player is finally available after a failed attempt to hit the shelves. The device offers support for Full HD 1080p. It also has wireless LAN built-in and 1 GB integrated memory.

The BD-C6900 also features DLNA support which means that the device can be used as a media-stream receiver, including support for Dolby Digital TruHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.

The BD-C6900 has 3D capabilities and it is compatible with Samsung’s HDTVs and Blue-ray 3D standard TV sets. The player can be acquired from Amazon for $399.99.

Samsung Beat R1 Is Absolutely Gorgeous


Just when you thought the era of media players was slowly coming to an end, Samsung releases its gorgeous Beat R1 player.

Announced, for the first time, last summer, the Samsung Beat R1 is finally about to hit retailer shelves, in April. Smaller than your average credit card and only 50 grams heavy, this amazing piece of design goodness comes with a 2.6 inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth, FM radio, and a battery that will keep it running for 50 hours of audio playback, or 4 hours of video.

Samsung’s Brand New TL500 Could Be A Masterpiece

Samsung Unveiled 3 Brand New Shark Phones


Samsung has just unveiled its 3 brand new Shark mobile phones, S5350, S5550 and S3550.

The first “Shark”, S5350, features 3MP camera (with video recording) , GTalk , Facebook , Twitter , AIM , Parlingo (chat services ) and it has an asymmetric design and a curved line for a better grip.

The second “Shark”, S5550, features 5MP camera with AMOLED display, 110MB of internal memory and support for microSD card for up to 8 GB memory cards. The applications are mostly the same with the first “shark”.

The third “Shark”, S3550, features 2MP camera module, 40 MB of internal memory and support for microSD card up to 8GB and Facebook, Twitter, AIM, GTalk  and so on are still available.

Samsung Announced 64GB moviNAND and 32GB micro-SD

Due to its 30 nanometer chip-making technology, Samsung has managed to create two revolutionary memory products. The first product is a 64GB moviNAND which offers 64GB of memory and a memory controller.The second product is a 32GB microSD card and both of them are compatible with lots of mobile devices.

I’m not sure if this will be something more than an announcement, because Sandisk told us 2 years ago they will do the same thing and they never hit the shelves.

The IceTouch MP3 player was unveiled by Samsung at CES 2010 edition and, unusual for an MP3 player, it features a transparent 2 inch AMOLED display made of tempered glass. It also has 16GB of built-in memory, Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface, 5.1 studio-quality sound and high quality video playback.

The IceTouch MP3 Player comes in white, grey, pink, purple and blue colors and it offers support for MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC, AAC, M4A, WAV, MP3HD (audio files) and MPEG4, WMV, H.264, Xvid, DivX (video files).

I’m not saying that Samsung IceTouch MP3 player is a bad idea, but I still can’t figure out why it came up with a transparent display.
