The first touch screen watch for the fashion market has been created by Kenneth Cole and comes with some interesting features. It has electro luminescent back light, chronograph technology, a 32 city world time function, stainless steel construction and water resistance.

Kenneth Cole and department stores like Macy’s and Dillard’s are selling the watches that come in three different styles with prices from $125 to $175.

Another cool idea from Kenneth Cole is their ad campaign called ” A Defining Moment in Time ” and where smartphone users who take a picture of a bar code will view a video that is automatically uploaded on their handsets.

Versace Launches Its First Touchscreen Mobile


Versace Unique is the fashion designer’s first step into the world of touchscreen handhelds, and just like its previous phones, it’s pretty high-end.

ModeLabs, a company with significant experience in building lush mobile phones, colborated with the Italian fashion company, on the Unique, putting its mark on the original design. LG was responsible with putting together the innards, that include the 3-inch display and a 5 megapixel camera. The Versace Unique features Dolby Surround mobile technology that’s bound to make listening to music a pleasurable experience, 3G, email client and media player.

The new HP Pavilion dv6 is a laptop that features a 15.6″ touchscreen display and it will make its debut on May 19th.  The laptop sports Quad Core CPUs, AMD or Intel at your choice, up to 1TB of storage capacity, equipped with Altec Lansing speakers on an advanced Dolby audio system, HDMI, VGA and eSATA.

Also, the dv6 uses company’s MediaSmart and TouchSmart software which provides support for entertainment apps such as Hulu, Twitter and other. The laptop is available in a brushed aluminum casing or in HP imprint finishes in black cherry, champagne and sonoma red.

Lenovo has recently unveiled three new 1080p monitors the L2261 Wide 21.5-inch LCD, the L2361p Wide 23-inch LCD and, the main attraction, the L2461x Wide.

The L2461x Wide is a 23.6-inch display and is the only one to include multitouch capabilities. The monitor features 4 USB ports, 2 MP camera, speakers, microphone and MEMC (Motion Estimation,Motion Compensation).

The L2261 has a resolution of 1920×1080p in a sub-22 inch panel, VGA and DVI inputs but no HDMI.

The L2361 features HDMI input and a TV-like stand. It also has integrated speakers and microphone, USB 2.0 ports and a 0.3MP camera included.

The upcoming DEVOUR slider phone from Motorola that runs under Android 1.6 will feature the Verizon Wireless Network and it will be the first Motorola device for Verizon to receive MOTOBLUR Android social networking aggregator service.

Under the aluminum casing, the phone features a 3.1-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen, QWERTY keyboard, a 3-megapixel autofocus camera and ships with an included 8GB microSD card. The device also has a touch sensitive navigation pad, dual-microphone speakerphone with noise cancellation and features pre-loaded applications like Google Search, Google Maps Navigation, Youtube and others.


3M’s 22-inch LCD Touchscreen Uses Advanced Capacitive Technology

3M has created this 22-inch LCD multi-touch screen which is using the capacitive technology, making it ideal for those who are looking for a LCD touch-screen that offers very fast response time. What could make it a revolutionary touch-screen is the advanced touch-interaction technology which allows users to work with all their ten fingers at once, and not only two as you’ve seen at other touch screens.

The 3M display has a maximum resolution of 1680 x 1050 and it is compatible with Windows 7. Nobody knows the release date but the price will be somewhere around $1500.

Sungworld anounces Android-Powered MID

This Mobile Internet Device (MID) from Sungworld will have Android as operating system and it is based on the ARM926 platform. Even if it doesn’t have a name yet, some of its specs were unveiled, showing a 7-inch 800×480 touchscreen,512MB RAM, 2GB SSD, Wi-Fi connectivity, it plays 1080p videos and features HDMI port. Sungworld’s Mobile Internet Device is expected to go on sale at the end of this month and we pray for a competitive price.

Light Touch Projectror Makes Everything Touchscreen


Using proprietary holographic projection technology, UK-based Light Blue Optics designed a projector that turns any flat surface into a touchscreen device.

The Light Touch projects a 10-inch-wide display on to the surface and, thanks to the integrated infra-red touch sensing system, makes it interactive. Even cooler is that it comes with built in WI-FI and Bluetooth technologies that allow users to connect to the internet and update their social network profiles pretty much anywhere.

Light Touch features 2 gb of Flash memory and a microSD card slot, for an extra 32 gb of memory. The battery will keep the projector running for as long as two hours before it needs recharging. It was showcased today, during CES 2010, but there’s no word yet on price and release date.

The EasyNote Butterfly Touch Edition from Packard Bell has been announced and it will be categorized as a tablet PC due to its 180-degrees rotation multi-touch screen.

The laptop features  11.6-inch display with a pretty good resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, 5-in-1 card reader, ultra-low-voltage processor from Intel(most probably Intel CULV), 8 hours battery life, full size keyboard, webcam, Wi-fi, up to 4 GB of RAM memory, GMA 4500MHD integrated graphic-board and a storage capacity of 640GB.

The EasyNote Butterfly Touch Edition will go on sale at the end of Feb 2010 at a price around E600.
